Tilt-Shift converter

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Pentax 67 SLR : One Thread

I wonder if Pentax, or perhaps Kenko, will ever produce a tilt-shift converter for the camera. Hasselblad makes the PC-Mutar, which is just a shifting 1.4x teleconverter. The only thing I miss about the 67 is perspective control. Even Mamiya has a new tilt-shift device. With a device like this one wouldn't need a 4x5 camera.

hi george,I totally agreed with you .It will be greatly for them to make a device like that. However,if they do ,I am not sure if I can afford that.Their autobellows cost $1300us,i can't imagine this device costing any less. There is an article in a large format page by quan tong luan (approximate spelling) mentioning someone combining a new calumet cadet 4x5 camera with a pentax 67.The guy bought a lens mount from Pentax factory and mount it on a blank lens board, putting on the back standard. The cadet cost less than $500 and weigh about 5lb. The other advantage is the ability to use leaf shutter lens which is much much lighter,a little bit cheaper and has a faster sync speed.Plus you can shoot sheet film if you want to without any extra cost to it.
