IS the pentax lx the best camera in the 35mm line? and whats the best way to get one?

There really is no 'best' camera in the 35mm line although I think the argument for Leica is quite strong. It is a very subjective question and you will find that the best camera is usually whatever one you are using at the time. I guess that's not alot of help to you so I recommend going to a few reputable camera stores and checking out the range of 35mm cameras. I prefer stores with a good selection of used equipment (I'm not sure if the LX is made anymore) and where the staff are quite involved in photography themselves, rather than just selling.
