Lots of us have seen lots of websites devoted to the movie Titanic. What would you recommend as good historical websites about this ship? For starters, I like http://www.intercall.net/~jsadur/titanic, which is Jim Sadur's Titanic Site. Any other historical sites?

George Behe's Titanic Tidbits page (URL: http://ourworld.compuserve.com/homepages/Carpathia/). George is a past vice president of the Titanic Historical Society, has authored several books on the subject, and was part of the A & E documentary. No flashy graphics here, but several very fine essays on various aspects of the story.

Philip Hind's Encyclopedia Titanica (URL: http://www.rmplc.co.uk/eduweb/sites/phind/) contains an on-line listing of all known passengers and crew of the Titanic, with many biographical sketches (more being added all the time), as well as deck plans, and a listing of survivors by lifeboat.

Titanic and the Mystery Ship (URL http://home.earthlink.net/~hiker1217/titanic.html) deals with the Californian controversy. Dave Billnitzer explores this contentious subject in exhaustive detail.

The Titanic Historical Society (US) has its own web site (URL: http://www2.titanic1.org/titanic1/). There are several articles, and a catalog of Titanic-related merchandise.

RMS Titanic Inc. is the "Salvor in Possession" of the Titanic wreck site. They have a webpage (URL: http://www.titanic-online.com/) where you can also order merchandise.

Harland and Wolff is the Belfast shipbuilder that built Titanic and her sisters. They have a good website (URL: http://dialspace.dial.pipex.com/hwtech.serv/index.shtml) which contains a **lot** of technical detail on the ship.

There are many other historical sites, but these are a few of the better ones (IMHO).
