in the car when they are steaming up the windows are they really naked? if not how do they do it?

Not in the making of the movie, although Leo had seen Kate naked during the first shot made for the movie, in order to "break the ice." Yet, for the filming of the car scene it was not necessary for the actors to get naked so I doubt they were. As for the steam it was some special stuff that must have been sprayed on the car windows, while the actors had some jelly rubbed on their skin.

Yes they were realy naked and I know for a fact because she just had a child but nobody knows because Kate didn't want it in the news paper or on the news and I know because my uncle filmed it and then he told me

What does her having a kid have to do with anything???? I mean for godness sake it's not like they really slept together!!!!! At least not while they were filming! And wouldn't we have been able to tell she was pregnant in some of the many many pictures that have been taken since the movie was made?

I am quite certain they were not naked for if they were it would have been improper. In a PG-13 the only place for a naked person is in the shower by him or herself, with the camera focused only on non-genitalia areas. Miss Manners

It's funny, in the script on-line they were both fully clothed (I guess they just moved the "necessary" bits [pardon my rudeness ;-)]) but in the movie they both looked like they were wearing nothing underneath that blanket. This is interesting considering they were both up on deck fully clothed a few minutes later. Now I've never worn a corset in my life but I should imagine it would take a while to put one on.

My experience with corsets allows me to say confidently that they can be laced quickly if one has dexterity. Seriously, my dingo darling, what makes you think she had it on after their fun. I don't remember if we see it later on. Couldn't she just have left it in the Renault? Like the Monica Lewinsky dress, it could have made a nice souvenir for the owner.

Anyway, we didn't see Rose's corset when the two guys opened the car door and they'd disappeared, so I assumed she'd put it back on. And I don't imagine Jack would have had much experience with corsets (I'm sticking by my guns and insisting they were both virgins) so it would have taken a while to lace her back up.

Hang on, silly I just realised something. After Jack drew Rose in the buff she emerged from her bedroom in that pretty dress and Jack said how nice she looked. Now I'm assuming again that her maid Trudy wasn't there so she would have had to "do herself up" again. So she could have dressed herself after the interlude in the backseat of the Renault.

I can't wait to see what George says if he stumbles across this thread ;-)

I couldn't resist getting in on this....I don't think she was wearing a corset after he drew her. I think Rose wanted to "let loose" that day (literally!). I think she wanted to wear something comfortable and unconfining, and for Rose, not wearing a corset was probably another act of rebellion against the restrictions of society. Remember how she wore her hair down that same day? Victorian women were supposed to wear their hair pinned up, and I read somewhere that she was wearing it down as an act of rebellion. And, obviously, letting Jack draw her nude was another way of freeing herself.

She was wearing her corset after he drew her. No woman I know has ever had hips with that sort of angle to them...corset. You can see where the corset's outline just below her hip through her skirt. everyone check your videos! I was aggravated by this exact thing after they..ahem...DID IT...and then went up to the deck. My little mind was going, "no way did they lace that sucker THAT fast". And I think Jack was NOT a virgin (sorry Em), thus I imagine his experience with corsets was adequate, if not completely out of hand (Paris...helloooo?).

First off, she was wearing a corset, though it was probably not in the script. I won't tell you why for fear of "that" argument again, but it might have something to do with the length of the shoot and the proximity of the catering truck. And it's too bad Leo's trailer wasn't near some Nautilus equipment. Secondly, of course they were really naked in that car scene! Even though we don't see anything, Kate and Leo were so in love that they WANTED to be naked in that cold cramped car, delivering bad lines, covered with layers of sticky body makeup and with Cameron and dozens of his crew looking on. Wouldn't you?

Yea...dream on. In movies during sex scenes the actors do not actually do the deed. In the script they were supposed to be mostly clothed, but they changed it to make it appeal to the teenage audience more. So, of course, they were portrayed as being naked, but they were not actually. Kate was probably wearing a strapless bra, and underwear and so was Leo (not the bra though...). And Rose was not wearing a corset. She was, indeed, rebelling against the upperclassmen by wearing her hair down, which was improper, wearing lavender (the color her mother hates), not wearing a corset (why would she wear one if she was only with jack) and of course, by perusing a relationship with jack. She would not have worn a corset if she didn’t have to. I have one myself, and they are dreadful, tight, and a pain in the ass. There is no way in hell she was wearing one. So I’m sorry to disappoint you, but there was no actual sex going on, on or off the set.

LOL> YOU guys crack me up. Don't you know anything about movie making. I am a film maker and I can tell you a rule in fil making. If you can't see it, it's not there. For example. If I was to film a shot which was based in a quiet alleyway, but right behind me was a busy road. With a little new foley and ADR and slever camera work, By that I mean don't point in the direction of the busy road. It would be a quite alletway to the viwers. Therefore their breast area would have been naked and because we the viewers wernt seeing the pubic region, there was no need for it to be naked. LOL> UNDERSTAND??
