I am interested in track profiles of the Savannah and Atlanta and the Georgia and Florida Railroads prior to the SOU takeover. I wil be glad to pay copying and mailing costs, of course. I am also interested in train consists and operating patterns on these lines. Thanks for your help...Tom Holley

If you're not able to find any old copies of track profiles, you could look at USGS quadragle sheets through which the S&A-G&F lines ran.While they wouldn't directly show the gradients of the track, etc., they do have contour elevations and show features like railroad lines and even right of ways where the track has been gone for 60+ years. Using the contours and a ruler/engineering scale, you could determine the gradient fairly accurately,if you're willing to go to the trouble.
