Just to let anyone know who might care... Besides Spawn, John Lee also does a voice on another series called Tenchi-Muyo. I suprisingly came across his voice in episode 14 entitled Here Comes The Jurai, but he may be in other episodes (I've only seen two of them). Actually, I was pretty disappointed in his performance. His voice didn't suit the character at all (his character is the King of the planet of Jurai). It doesn't sound anything like Trevor Goodchild, which could be the reason why I was disappointed. When I think about it, all the voices in Tenchi-Muyo don't suit their characters so I don't think it really has anything to do with John Lee himself.

Well showing Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust at the anime festival in New York is pretty impressive and if that doesn't bring on the coolest offers I don't know what would. Peter once described his voice as reminiscent of a new Sean Connery, pretty good comparison I think. Personally I prefer to listen to John Lee (and Connery's is awesome).

In an issue of "Curse of the Spawn," a couple months ago, not sure, he and the other voice actors of the Spawn series are being interviewed. His picture is in there; he doesn't look anything like Trevor (but then again, Mark Hamil doesn't look anything like the Joker, yet he does an incredibly insane Prince of Clowns on the "Batman" cartoon).

John Lee has been an actor in a couple of live-action movies; I think you can find it on the Internet Movie Database.

Tenchi Muyo, huh? That's always a fun series to watch. But I hate the dubbing.

John Rafter Lee (his dad`s name was John Lee, so he goes by his full name) is my favorite voice actor! Did anyone see "Princess Mononoke"? He played the possessed boar god from the beginning of the movie. They only gave him 1 or 2 lines, but it sounded great... why do I know this? Because when it comes to Aeon Flux, I am a truly, truly sad geezer!

BTW, Spawn, Mononoke & Tenchi Muyo all have the same voice director as Aeon, which could explain the reappearances of Denise (Spawn), and John (all 3). His name is Jack Fletcher (although you probably know that by now). I like to think of them as being old college buddies from waaay back, like Sam Raimi and Bruce Campbell were. That, or he just can`t bring himself to cast someone else, after hearing the maestros... :)

One more tidbit for John Lee fans... Hammers Over The Anvil, a movie of his, has been re-released. He is the 7th billed character. IMDB's user rating is extremely high, might be worth checking out.

That's because of his part in the movie, it's only 8 minutes long, and his only lines are "they're coming for us all, beware the dark side, the evil empire," it's a very good little movie. It was mentioned on the news a few months ago as a surprise high selling movie! His character is named "Ranter" but his voice doesn't sound at all like Trevor, he is on only about 30 seconds and he is supposed to look like one of those crazy guys standing in the street 'ranting' away. I think they cut out his other line about the pregnant chad though.

My father's name is not John Lee. I am not one of the voices in "Hammer Over Anvil". I am the voice in "Vampire Hunter D" but I don't know what happened to it. It's very good. Jack Fletcher is not an old college friend but I worked with his sister who does some of the voices in "Aeon" in theatre in Seattle back when.

I might be wrong, but didn't John Lee do the voice of Kagato in Tenchi Muyo and not the king of juri? i get conflicting information from most of the sites, so could someone answer once and for all which character he does? imdb has been no help in the matter.

also, if memory serves me right, he did the english dub of the main bad guy (the character's name escapes me) in "Black Mask". A very fun movie that i suggest everyone try to catch if it is on cinimax again. once again, imdb is of no help in confirming this, but his name was in the credits.

John's got the prettiest voice in the universe :) Hehe, I really liked his voice in the episodes of Tenchi Muyo + Princess Mononoke. Didn't John Lee do the voice of the bad guy Kagato and the King of Jurai in Tenchi....? Thats what I thought but its not correctly according to some Tenchi Fan Sites. Anyways, I really really reaally enjoyed John's voice in Vampire Hunter D BloodLust. My favorite character is Meier Link because of his Super-Evil Bad Boy voice! Question: Is John Lee going to give us his velvety voice to other animes in the future? :D
