Friday, September 4th, 1998 is the first annual Geek Day.

Comparable to the second wave Labour Day, the first Geek Day also marks the equitemporal point between the premieres of James Cameron's "Titanic" and "Star Wars: Episode I" (December 19th, 1997 and May 21st, 1999; 37 weeks in either direction).

(The second annual Geek Day in 1999, the Friday before Labour Day, will be marked by "getting away from the Y2K bug hype" parties.)
