I am currently at university in the Uk and I am doing a thesis on the Group f64.

I am having problems getting certain information about some of its members and associates can anyone help?

the people I am having problems with are : John Paul Edwards, Henry Swift, Conseulo Kanaga, William Simpson, Peter Stackpole and Irma Leverson.

I need to know their dates of birth and death and a brief history around the time of the exhibition in 1934.

Also if anyone can direct me to any examples of their work.

Any other information regarding the group would be helpful. The level of information regarding their exhibition seems very limited in the Uk and on the internet.

The Book on the subject is "Seeing Straight: The f/64 revolution in photography" It's by Mary Street Alinder, Ansel Adams former office manager who also wrote a wonderful biography on him. It came out in the U.S. 3 or 4 years ago and includes brief thumbnail bio's and exhibit info. You could get the ISBN or order it straight from Amazon.com. By the way, it's Alma Levenson.

Well, it turns out that Amazon.com thinks Seeing straight is out of print. ANother source, but not with the depth of info you seek, good reading though, is Charis Wilson's bio, "Through Another Lens, my Life with Edward Weston"

The book will almost certainly be available from Photo-Eye (http://www.photoeye.com/), a great source for photography books since they almost always have stock after books are discontinued (for example, I found Flor Garduno's wonderful _Witnesses of Time_ after giving up everywhere else.) They don't discount much, but it is definitely worth checking out for the availability.
