I have a 10 month old spayed female who has this week decided to reject her litter box. She urinates and defecates anywhere in the house, sometimes while we're in the room. We have never had a problem with her before. We also have a 10 month old neutered male with whom we do not have a problem. The cats have been raised together and get along very well. Any ideas as to what is causing the problem? Thanks

I USED TO HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM WITH MY CAT. I NOTICED SHE ONLY DID IT WHEN SHE WAS UNHAPPY ABOUT DIFFERENT THINGS. IT'S THE ONLY WAY FOR THEM TO SAY "I DON'T ACCEPT THIS". AND EVEN SMALL THINGS AS TO LITTLE ATTENTION OR WRONG FOOD. I HAVE TWO CATS AND AFTER GIVING HER MOST ATTENTION SHE STOPPED. SOME CATS HAVE VERY SENSITIVE NOSE. TRY NOT TO USE STRONG PERFUME OR CLEANING LIQUID.
