1. Actively participate in class sessions, discussions and projects. Just try and stop me! 2. Facilitate one project each academic year, the topic will be determined as the year develops. 3. Write quality assignments and submit on due dates, taking into account that I am a late-starter. My plan will be to start making deadlines in December, 1998. I will complete and post prior assignments in December and January. (Let's discuss how many make-up assignments I have and please let me know if anything is missing.) ** 4. Participate in student critiques providing feedback and suggestions for improvement. 5. I will integrate my course work into my learning in the North Central National Extension Leadership Development activities that I will be participating in from September 1998 through September 1999. I will integrate my course work into my management of the Earle Brown Center and the development of any Extension events that I may be asked to coordinate. 6. Complete required readings by deadline, taking into account that I am a late-starter. My plan will be to start making deadlines in December, 1998. I will complete and post prior assignments in December and January. (Let's discuss how many reading assignments I will make up and please let me know if anything is missing.)** 7. Learn basic computing skills. Since I believe I am already skilled in MS Word, the Web and the Internet, I will need to learn PowerPoint and Excel. My topic is "Challenges and Benefits of Incorporating Technology Into Conference Centers."

Finally, I'm in the site for the technologically skilled! The contract looks totally fine to me...I will run it by Terry Anderson (since the course he designed is happening right along side the one I designed for most of you). One comment, I don't think you have to be worried about being a late-starter. The bottom line in a program such as this one is "getting it done"! Be sure and let me know if you have specific questions about the professional development course. I look forward to reading your work.
