Contract for Grade

I would like to contract for an 'A' in this course.

To meet the criteria for a 'B' I will read a text entitled "Motivation and Work Behavior" by Richard M. Steers and Lyman W. Porter. I will be looking for motivation techniques useful for our office staff and the volunteers who work with our programs.

To meet the criteria for an 'A' I will give a presentation at Youth and You on February 9 and 10, 1999. The presentation will utilitze the infromation learned about motivation theory and applying it to volunteers. I would also be willing to write summaries to place on my web page for other cohort members to utilize.

Answers

Do Steers and Porter synthesize motivational theory research from the past? I'm asking out of ignorance, I'm assuming they do, and I'd love to learn more. I wish I could hear your presentation. Do they address differences and similiarities in motivational issues among different ages, cultures, genders, etc.? Good luck.
