i believe my inappropriate joke may have come across as,well, inappropirate or misconstruable today. the reference i made was not to the many times we have brought up distributive arguments, but rather to the one time (to my recollection) when we actually went over the districutive issues v. efficiency in how we allocate the gain from contracting.

did not mean to be particularly facetious, or offensive, or disregarding some of what i think are among the most important issues to talk about at this school. so i apologize if i came off that way for anybody.
