Mary Krentz, Contract Grading 1998-99 M.Ed. Extension Partnership I would like to contract for an A grade.

I will complete all of the C requirements plus the following:

Criteria for a B: I plan to be a facilitator for the statewide inservice training for new Nutrition Education Assistants. I will teach a session on how to effectively use the Simply Good Eating curriculum to create behavior change in limited income clients. I would also like to represent cohort members on the Governance Team.

Criteria for an A: I plan to present a session at the 1999 National Society for Nutrition Education Annual Meeting in Baltimore, Maryland in July. Information will be presented regarding Food Safety Education for Limited Income Families. The Society for Nutrition Education annual meeting promotes nutritional well-being of people through featuring improved practice in education, research and public policy. At the conference, I will document my learning and collect resources to share with my colleagues throughout Minnesota in the Nutrition, Food and Health specialization.

I think we talked about this in October, informally, but something I would love to know more about regarding the limited income families I work with is how to more effectively and sensitively address nutrition, safety issues while being culturally respectful...Good luck, I can't wait to hear what you learn.
