Are you curious about the new Aeon Flux game?

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Aeon Flux : One Thread

The new Aeon Flux game is being developed by The Collective, Inc. and to be distributed by GT Interactive.

As of this writing, The Collective has (have?) temporarily taken down their screenshots for some updates, but you can see them at my site, Aeon Flux - monican dominatrix. I mirrored the screenshots because all of The Collective's content is only accessible with a Shockwave-enabled browser. Since that doesn't include everyone, I grabbed them myself.

Happy New Year!

Well, on a personal level, its just another game. Another game I can't afford, and one I sure as hell don't have the system to run. This lack of enthusiasm comes from an overall lack of gaming interest. But, from a financial/promotional view, this could be what we've been waiting for. Look at the big hit videos games out there. Duke Nukem, Tombraider, and Resident Evil. All big sellers. ALL have movies being made about them. Now, if this game can make a big enough impact, and get a big enough following, a feat that shouldn't be too hard, this could be what makes Mtv decide to give the capital to finance another season of Aeon Flux. Sure, I mean, the movie is going to be made, but if they get enough fans from the game, they might decide to make another season as well. Ah, I can see it already.

WOOHOO!!! I hope it plays as good as it looks.

I was just thinkin' about that, actually... how would Fon Flux work as a videogame? I mean, yeah, you can shoot down Breen guards in stunning 3D. But the real premise of the series has little to do with combat or puzzle-solving or any of that typical polygonal garbage. I mean, it has potential, but I have my doubts as to whether it will work as a game without essentially becoming Metal Gear or Tomb Raider with a slightly different look. A title that is both workable in the videogame world and faithful to the TV series isn't something I can picture at this moment...

New game? Is it available for Playstation?

Who cares?!?!? Just FINISH IT!!!! :)

A very pretty looking game, but personally I think the mood lighting should be on the bright side rather than dark. This will let the (hopefully) authentic artwork to show up better and is more true to the show. I have come to loathe Quake 1 and Prey just because most of the scenery is so darn DARK.

I also sincerely hope they make story and plot more important than sheer gunplay, although that should also be intense at times. It should have more elements of an RPG adventure in it than the typical shooter and... um (can't remember). Think "Tomb Raider" - especially appropriate considering Aeon's gymnastics.

The ultimate wish? To have Denise Poirier (sp?) do the voiceovers for cutscenes and "Fon's Thoughts" midgame.

Here's hoping....

Another ultra-rich eye candy shockwave site; unlike Alexander, this one is irritatingly uninformative. Personally I don't really care to play an Aeon Flux game that will really just be Tomb Raider Goes To Bregna - but that doesn't mean I won't kick myself when I find out I can't run it on my machine...

I'd really like to see an all-out action game that allows you to view both 3rd and 1st person modes. Instead of one coherant plot line perhaps 'the mission' should alter as you progress through the game, depending upon your success. Each level could be a mini-episode in it's own right. Do not over-estimate the power of a playstaion, get an N64.

The graphics to this game are really gorgeous, and didn't Peter say this was an example of how the movie would've looked! I think we should have a telethon and collect donations from all the fans and invest in this movie, What a movie that'd be. Love the 'Tombraider in Bregna' remark.
