DEAR BRITTANY: 1- I am a lay person. Since my childhood, since my parents were practicing catholics, I have studied many different aspects of the Church and catholicism. I have been a teacher of Bible studies and Liturgy at different catholic schools. At present I am retired. 2- I have read all the Vatican II documents. 3- Many of the Church positions and practices didn't correspond to the needs of our times. 4-I reccomnd you to read the document GRAVISSIMUM EDUCATIONIS that deals with the christian education of youth. Read also the document GAUDIUM AND SPES on the Church in today's world (I found it most interesting).
