I have a Maine Coon that eats paper to vomit. Any kind of paper will do. She does this about every other day and has done this since she has been about 8 months old. She as vomited so much that her teeth are starting to rot and have even had to pulled. My vet knows no reason for this. HELP, does any one know why she does this?

I also had a cat that did this paper eating thing. Shortly after he started he became ill and died. Some sort of liver failure. The vet thought there may be some relationship between the two. Keep a close eye on your friend for signs of liver trouble( yellow near the gums and mouth also in the whites of the eye). Also does your cat have access to grass. The paper may be to replace the natural workings of good ole grass. I have a small pot of dirt and grow grass for my strictly inside MC. Good luck

one of my mc constantly eats, rips and licks paper. i used to think it was pretty funny because she never got ill after. maybe i will have to keep a closer eye on her
