Could someone suggest a book that will refresh my memory on taking great photographs, developing my own film, and how to go about setting up a darkroon at home? I'm also interested in learning how to hand tint black and white. Any advice or suggestions will be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance, Aimee

The 3 books by Ansel Adams, "The Camera", "The Negative" and "The Print" contain a lot of good advice, and you can easily skip over the technical bits if you want. I also like "Basic Photography" and "Advanced Photography" by Michael Langford.Adams has nothing on hand-tinting. Langford does, but very little.

"Mastering B&W Photography" (1st choice) & " Creative B&W Photography" (4th choice) both by Berhard J. Suess; "Ilford Monochrome Darkroom Practice: A Manual of B&W Processing and Printing" (3rd choice) by Jack H. Coote; and "The Practical Zone System" (2nd choice) by Chris Johnson. All available through Amazon.com or BarnesandNoble.com
