is easter in some way connected with the east?

do jews have a holy week?

Passover is the Jewish holiday commemorating the first Passover, when the Angel of the Lord went and killed the eldest son of each Egyptian family, while the Angel pass-over the houses of the Israelites who put lambs blood on their doorposts.

Easter is the Christian holiday commemorating the victory that Christ won for us as He gave His life's blood on the cross, and was glorified by His heavenly Father through the Resurrection.

Of course, Easter has got to do with the east. The bible often refers to either events occurring in the east or locations in the east. East simbolizes the direction where the sun rises, therefore it means the next day, and refers to the future. As Jesus was the first human to die and resurrect (which is a metaphor for something of a much more practical significance, then is commonly interpreted), each and every human is asked to do the same, die and resurrect, and all of humanity will have to do so anywayy one day in futurem, as it is an integral aspect of human evolution. That is the connection between Easter and the east.
