I am trying to find a Main Coon breeder near me. We live in the Upper Penninsula of Michigan. I am willing to drive into Wisconsin or northern lower Michigan. We live about 2 hours from the Mackinaw Bridge but would cross to northern lower Michigan if needed. Our 7 year old cat died suddenly in January and we are ready to find another. Our Cody Cat was a shelter cat but looked so much like a Main Coon that I believe he may have been or partially. The pictures of the Main Coons look so much like him, and they sound like perfect cats for our house. We have 2 golden retrievers, 2 children under 5 and live in the woods.

I am from the central Michigan area and I got my Maine Coon at a cat show. I'm not sure if I would recommend this. When I got him home he had fleas. But, it is a good place to meet lots of breeders. Also Cat Fancy and other cat magazines advertise breeders in the back of the magazine. Good Luck!
