I'm debating whether to buy the VX9000E rather than the more expensive Canon XL1 - has anyone got any comments on this?

I made about 40 professional productions with my vx9000e without any problems. Don't by the Sony wide angle converter (vignettage). Look for the century one. As far as i know, the view finder and the back focus used to be a problem on the Canon. By the way, i am looking for a rain cover or slicker or case shoulder for my 9000. Any help would be welcome.
