Hey Everyone,

I was just interested what everyone would recomend for a wall harness. Anything from the lighest you could get by with to the most comfortable. Thanks and happy nailing.

B, Anything will work. Remeber they used to send walls wearing only swamies! However, if you want to have a functioning set of kidneys when you are done, best to get something thick and padded. FISH makes a great wall harness, super thick, and all beef. Also might want to checks out the YATES wall harness, it too is a beefy monster with hella lumbar support. Misty mountain also makes a "wall" harness called the cadillac, looks good. Black diamond also makes a harness specific to walling, called (you guessed it) the big wall harness. However if you are just trying to find a harness that will work for walls, trad, etc, just check out some of the many models. I have an older BD Mentor and it works fine. All the models specific to big walling tend to be thicker with lots o lumbar support, big gear loops and a clip in for the haul/tag line. So go try them on, and see if the people in the store will let you sit there clipped to the wall for 5 hours, to simulate that belay marathon. Good LUck!

Brian,

I recently got a Misty Mountain Titan harness. Its desigened for all around use, including walls. Very comfy, great gear loops, totally adjustable. Hard to find in new england, though. I ordered it straight from Misty. I've hung in it, and its cozy.
