exposure times for long b-setting shots?greenspun.com : LUSENET : B&W Photo: Creativity, Etc. : One Thread |
Anyone have any guidlines on exposure times/apertures for long exposure cable release shots of moving traffic at dusk/night? (using tri-x, possibly pushing it if neccessary) Thanks Greg.

Per page 26 of the Kodak Professional Photo Guide, 1 second @ F8.

Just do it! I mean try a 1 minute exposure at f16 then try it at f2 and then try it in between, it's fun seeing what comes out.Blue

I have always used 5mins at the smallest f-stop available on your lens. I'm talking about f22 or f16. anything else larger try some faster times. it has worked great for 400ASA B&W and color films. good luck!http://www.geocities.com/SoHo/Gallery/5718/
