I'm sometimes asked to do location scouts for visiting photogs. This typically involves some shooting, mapping, etc. Hourly rates never seem enough given the complexity of some of the scouts and the trips to the lab, etc. Given this, how do you charge for scouting?

I charge about 2/3 - 3/4 my assisting day rate (about $125-$150) plus any expenses: milage, polaroids, maps marked up 10% but this is just a starting point if someone want to hire me for a two week shoot at my full rate i might let most of these cost slip...
