I have heard that 5 ropes are needed for fixing to heart ledge from ground.I know that bottom pitch-little john- is short. For upper 4 pitches, All 4 ropes have to be 50m rope or no? I have many old 45m ropes. Is it too short?

I don't recall the exact pitch lengths but I think you'll be fine. We also had several 45m ropes when I fixed it and we had no problem.
