I notice the new sony mvc-fd88 lists 1280 pixels high, 1024 pixels middle, and 640 pixels low...what is the purpose of 3 different settings? if 1280 is best why the others or is 1280 the best picture?

you might want lower res settings for web pages, or so you can take more pictures before running out of room.
