Ferris or Cameron?greenspun.com : LUSENET : Squishy : One Thread |
Are you one of those people who plans everything ahead? Do you know what you're going to say and how you're going to say it? Do you find that the more you talk out loud and the more you hear your own words you begin to talk yourself right out of the situation?I keep thinking of myself like Cameron in the car at the beginning of the movie:
He'll keep calling me, he'll make me feel guilty...This! This! This is ridiculous. I'll go. I'll go. I'll go. I'll go. I'll go. I. Shit!
Are you a Ferris or a Cameron?

Mostly Ferris, but not because I feel I have his confidence that things will always go the way I want. Mostly because I'm lazy and when I do try to plan things the Cameron side of me comes out so the Ferris side stands up and bludgeons Cameron with a large stick. Ferris does this because he knows I would go crazy otherwise.

110% Cameron.

I'm a Cameron....definitely. I couldn't spit an opinion out correctly if I had it written on the palm of my hand! I like to consider myself more of a thinker *hehe* I can think things swell, but just don't ask me to say 'em, cuz it ain't happenin' Captain!

Oh Cameron, Cameron, Cameron. I talk myself out of things all the time, in fact at this very moment, I'm talking myself out of moving to Seattle. But sometimes I let my inner Ferris out to play.Speaking of which, today is Alan Ruck's 39th birthday!

Oh, I'm so disappointed! I thought this topic was going to be about which one we'd prefer to DATE. In which case I'd choose Cameron (Ferris would stray and would never really need me).I think I myself am more of a Ferris. I'm more likely to talk to the camera than to talk to myself; there's always an audience out there watching, I just know it.

Actually, usually I'm a Jeanne. Or a Rooney. Which is sadly irredeemable.

I think a genetic melding of both Cameron and Ferris would be the best explanation for my behavior. If I don't think about things, I jump right in and find myself in all sorts of interesting positions. Literally. If I have time to think about things, I spend all that time obsessing. "No. Ok. Maybe. You know what happened the last time. But it was fun before I thought about it. Yeah, and you had to call in sick for a week. It would have been worse if you didn't do it. Could we have a vote here? Yes. No! Um..." Hours spent in the car talking to myself. I get paid to do that.

I am a Cameron. My fiancee is a Ferris, so we have some interesting times together.

Cameron. It took me an hour to decide if I would post or not.

A question that actually got me to the forum! But like someone else said, I thought it meant which one is the cutest. To which the answer is definitely Cameron. Dig those damaged guys. Who am I? O, I'm kinda Ferris-y I think. And Cameron needs Ferris, so there you go!

I'm a little of both. I have Ferris's lack of responsibility, but I have Cameron's hypochondria and relentless habit of worrying over everything.Oh well, they were both fun.

Great question.I am a Cameron for certain. I am completely neurotic, a compulsive worrier, plagued by doubt and fear, you know the whole enchilada. Every day, in every way, I loathe myself for it! Don't the Ferris types who just breeze through life without a car in the world bug the crap out of you?
Damn, Alan Ruck is 39 years old?!? That makes me feel like a fossil!

**SIGH** Chit.....as it has taken me this long to decide to post I am faced with the irrefutable truth that I am an unwilling Cameron....dammit....this sucks..**SIGH**

i'm a cameron. and it's not because of this that it's taken me so long to post, it's just that i'm reading all of the archives, and well, you know how it is. i was never one of the cool kids, hip and up to date with everything.i'm also like cameron at the end of the movie. i'm sort of starting to let go of my worried about what my parents will think of me or do to me if i do something wrong - i'm not going to live on eggshells for them or anyone anymore.
