Unfortunately, you don't give enough detail in order for me to give you a reliable answer. Your question is rather like saying 'I need to know an average salary range for someone with an MS degree.' without giving the field of the degree, the line of work, or the area of the country.

Given that, in my area (the San Francisco Bay), you can get a fully vaccinated pet kitten from a reputable breeder with a health guarantee for anywhere from $400 to $700 (US), depending on whether the kitten has already been spayed/neutered or not. Prices can and do vary, from breeder to breeder in the same city, and certainly across the world.

The price varies with two things, location and quality of the pet. In the Omaha/Kansas City region a good pet will go for around 400-500 dollars. Typically, silvers will go a little higher, due to the demand.

Dear Benjamin, Here in the Massachusetts area, the average price for pet quality kittens seems to be around $400, although I have seen them listed as low as $250. It may be that there are so many in this area that have caused the lower prices or perhaps these are not true Maine Coons. Anyway, there are many sites on the web that list kittens for sale along with price ranges, unfortunately I don't have the addresses to give you. Good Luck, Lisa
