I am interested in your opinions on available 8x10 Polaroid processors.

Finally, I started to make 8x10 image transfers a few weeks ago. So far, I have a quite good experience with the Polaroid electric processor model #81-12 which I bought used on e-bay. I am using the film holder #81-06 with loading tray, #81-09. I have also tried the older filmholder, #81-05, which doesn't require the loading tray (a positive sheet is inserted directly into the film holder). This feature is quite tempting, but I have found this film holder much more difficult to use then the newer model #81-06. The most serious problem: the #81-05 filmholder doesn't fit the Daylab slide printer!! It is just slightly thicker that the #81-06. I suppose it doesn't matter for cameras with a spring back.
I am currious if anybody has experience with the Calumet manual processor.

Hi Marek, I've been using the Calumet 8 x 10 manual processor with inconsistant results. Yep, I followed Kathleen Carr's instructions to the letter! I finally asked Calumet to replace it as faulty (which they did). It would separate the positive film sheet from the negative as I cranked it through rather than combine the positive and negative, the result would be the negative popping out of the holder, and leaving the positive with the pod intact still in the processor. After much experimentation (some success and some failure) and wasted film I gave up and asked Calumet for a replacement. As of this writing, I haven't tried out the new one and have been contemplating looking for a used polaroid model rather than blow money on very expensive film with this manual processor. Barb
