Yes, check with Birns & Sawyer of hollywood, They have a good one for around $500. It holds 2 3x3 filters. Chrosziel has one with a two stage filter system also. check them out Angel. www.birnsandsawyer.com

It depends what you want it for, they all pretty much do the same. However if you want your camera to look beefy like I did buy a Chroziel 4 x 4, filters are more expensive and so is the mattebox but I got great results and my clients are pretty impressed. If you buy the small one from birns and sawyer it might do the same but wont' look as professional.GOOD LUCK

Also check out Century Optics' DV matte box. Very professional and a good build.-Timo

CAVision (Located in Canada) makes a great 4x4 matte box specifically for the XL1. It runs around $1000, but it's a heavy duty bellows style and if you want to impress clients, it's the most "film camera" looking matte box around. You can find them on the web at www.cavision.com
