Perhaps we should just make this a big Victoria's Secret forum. That store forces me to buy stuff every time I go. Just reading your entry made me want to run to the mall and see what they have out now, because last time I went by it was clearly all geared to the back-to-school college girls, with cotton bralettes and plaid flannel boxer shorts.

I would like to find another place to buy pretty unmentionables, but VS has it all over department stores and slut stores like Frederick's. They make stuff women want to buy for themselves. Or maybe it's some drug they put in the fragrance that hangs in the air.

p.s. i had dusty plum knickers in seventh grade. the shame...

Oh, you just HAD to point out that evil place has a website!

I went in there just last week because my friend was visiting and needed underwear (long story!) and I had to buy some too.

I have more of those lacy, pretty underthingies than most people I know. And guess how many times I've worn them in the last three years??

I love them though, and I keep buying them.

I've actually never bought anything at Victoria's Secret (other than body lotion), but I do like the Frederick's catalog & website. The Body Shop always pulls me in and sucks my wallet dry, though. That and the gyro place.

I can avoid the whole fucking place, and it takes no strength at all - I just hate shopping especially in malls. Except for this one outdoor mall in Marin County, but then I tend to just like to walk around, look at the flowers, and drink coffee while sitting in the sun there, and don't go into many of the shops, especially not the department stores.

As for VS, I've looked at the catalog a couple of times, but never been in one of their stores. I don't think they carry anything larger than a C cup, so I figure why bother.

I'm a freak for the cheap jewelry stores: Claire's and Afterthoughts. IF they are having one of those 10 items for 5 dollars sales, you beyothches better get out of my way 'cuz I'm shoppin'. I have a whole jewerly box full of two dollar necklaces and plastic barrettes. I like to see which band is currently the new New Kids On The Block, they always have a section with "cute boy band jewelry and accessories." Last time I checked, it was 98 degrees. the Backstreet Boys items were in the clearance bin.

oh, and how can you not like the Museum Company, Beth???? (drooooooool). I love where it's located, too. Only a few doors down from Electronics Boutique. I can hit my three favorite stores: the Museum Company, Payless Shoes, and Claire's, all while Dan is at EB. Great design, that downtown plaza. :)

Well I'm a sucker for my local MAC store, although all I ever buy is lipstick. After perusing all the colors that look better in the glossies than on *sigh* me, I head on down to the Godiva shop for a piece or two of sin. I can never resist looking at the beautiful card assortment at Papyrus (sure beats the Hallmark cheapies at Sav-On, I tell ya!)And the window display at Frederick's Of Hollywood always cracks me up. And I mean that in the nicest possible way. I used to love the Gap when they carried my favorite fragrance, "om". Does anyone know why they stopped carrying this line? It was one of the few fragrances that didn't give me a headache. Sure would love another bottle or two. As far as other national mall chain stores go, I love The Museum Store for unusual gift items, The Body Shop, Bath & Body Works, and yes, Victoria's Secret when I'm thin. I busted out of the last bra I bought there, so I kinda shy away from them lately.

I am SO with Judy on this one... I can SO avoid ALL of the mall and be a happy camper. I *hate* shopping. I like to *buy stuff*. I like to know what I'm going for, go get it and get out of there. I don't like this indecisive shit that Jake and I go through "Well, should we get them this? That? this? Should we go to this place? Or try this place? " And since he has absolutely NO decision making bones in his body it's all on ME. Ugh!

Okay FINE *Grabbing the first thing I see* - LET'S GO!

I can't even get into the music stores in the mall - they're so much more overpriced than Tower or The Beat, that it's just not worth it.

Oh wait. *Bitinglip*

Card stores.

Sorry! I *do* have a weakness. I can read through EVERY single card in hallmark in a single sitting. I usually end up leaving there with SEVERAL cards for things that "I know will come up". (Like the card I've had for Stasi since June. I *know* I'm gonna need it! =)

But other than that. I don't really like the mall. No thanks. (=

I almost never go to the mall. The only thing that gets me there is needing athletic socks from Sears, and I only get them there because it's closer to work than the sporting goods store.

Victoria's Secret doesn't temp me because I only wear cotton serious loking underwear, and they don't have fat girl sizes anyway. Oh, I'd like a real corset, but they don't have those.

Oh yeah, and I'm drawn in by the sparkly objects at the museum store and Z Gallerie, but never end up buying them because they're too expensive and not very well made.
