I'm looking for some African-American photographers. I can't seem to find a list anywhere. Could you provide me with a list of current top Black photographers. Thanks.

"Top" is, of course, subjective. Some names: Gordon Parks, James Vanderzee, Ron Johnson, Todd Gray, Eli Reed.

Also Spike Lee's brother. Sorry, I can't recall his name.

so when you say "African American" do you also refer to the olive skinned people of Egypt as well? Or possibly any white people who were born in Africa who have since moved here?

If one has nothing to contribute, it would be better not to write anything. There is a commonly-accepted definition for "African-American." I highly recommend a book called a "dictionary" if you are having trouble with definitions.

"If one has nothing to contribute, it would be better not to write anything"follow your own advice Jeff.
"African American" is a geographic description, not an ethnic one.

Milt Hinton, who shot alot of jazz musicians backstage from the late 30's on. There have been calendars with his work. He's a darn good bass player too.
