Ok, since I cannot seem to find a local group to join I'll try to start one, Is anyone interested in starting a photography group for regular meetings,discussions and maybe critiques of our photographic efforts? Interested in sharing your techniques and what you've learned? Maybe even pooling resources for special projects? My own interests are B&W printmaking and Polaroid art. Only requirement is that you are serious about becoming a better photographer.This might be a good opportunity to not only have a bit of fun but maybe learn something. I'm not really looking for just an "Art" discussion group but a group willing to maybe plan visits to local gallerys then critique the exhibits , maybe visit each others darkrooms for technical & artistic dicussions, maybe even group photography projects. Anybody interested in getting this off the ground?

Sounds like you have spent some time thinking about this. I am a very serious and enthusiastic photographer living out of the Bay Area. I have been looking for a fun yet educational photo club for some time now. Keep in touch and let me know what kind of ideas you come up with!!
