Dennis Curtin sells a very good introductory book, called "choosing and using a digital camera" You can find an ordering link somewhere on his site, at www.shortcourses.com Black & white, but well worth the $20 he charges. We also just reviewed a *beautiful* book from Peachpit Press and author John Odam, called "Start with a digital camera". We mentioned this in the newsletter issue that just came out. (Subscribe by sending a blank email to join-irnews@lists.sparklist.com) We'll be posting a special deal for the book on the "Deals" page in the next day or two, but here's the URL in the meantime, where you can check it out a bit. It's easily worth its usual ~$35 price, and at $21+ via the special deal we worked out with Xoom, it's a steal! (Can't say it enough, really a very, very nice book - I'm buying ~6 of them for friends, to help with the "Dave the digital camera answerman" syndrome!)
Here's the URL:
