I really liked Dangermouse, personally, and Bugs Bunny was my role model. You're right about Dexter--he and the Power Puff Girls I find the most entertaining of the new Cartoon Network Stuff--although I do have a soft spot for I Am Wesel! (I hate Ren and Stimpy, though, and I'm bored with Cow and Chicken.)--Al

Woody Woodpecker would be a strong contender. The name alone is enough to make me smile. :)

Dexter. From Dexter's Laboratory. Best genius kid on TV.

Jerome "Chef" McElroy. (of South Park fame) He's got the best singing voice of any cartoon character still working today. It's almost got a Barry White quality to it...

i go pogo . . . walt kelly's swamp critter who could be read on about 4 different levels.....the humorous slant and the excellent drawing. one phrase i remember, i think it was pogo who said, "we have met the enemy, and he is us." what a marvelous display of walt's understanding of human nature.

I'd say Franklin the Turtle, because he is kind, cute, sweet, and smart. I don't really like his friends, though...(lol).

one cartoon sticks in my mind more than any one, & it's not that big of a deal, but then again, it's the ones that are so simple that make it a part of ones life.

Pogo looking (from out side), into a cave, (where it's pitch black inside), and the only thing Pogo could see inside was a couple of eye looking back at him.

(Pogo did not know that it was an owl.)

so Pogo spoke up and asked, the only thing he could see, (eye's),...........> "Who Dat"

and from inside the cave came the sound,........> "Who"

Pogo then spoke up and said, "Who Dat say who, when I say who dat first"????? ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Wish I still had that strip. would you happen to know where I could get a copy of that one??
