SO PAL has higher res. but does it on mini tape? Or on a PAL TV? i thought mini DV tape could only handle 500 lines, so how could a PAL camera up the limit on the same tape??

p.s. from what i 've been told, PAL and NTSC use the same tape

frame rate is lower in pal so it compensate hi-res, perhaps
