I've heard that sometime in the last few years there was a special run of an N-scale PS boxcar done in a special paint for Southern Ry. This was of a prototype celebrating a certain number of boxcars built by PS (maybe 5,000th or 10,000th???). The person who told me this said the car was green, white, and blue or some such special paint scheme. Does anyone have any info on this or know where to get one maybe? If there long gone, how about more specifics so one could be modeled - I'd sure like to have/build one!

PS marked the 200,000th car built at Bessemer in 1970 by painting one of Southerns 50' Rib Side Box (out of an order of 1000 cars) yellow green and blue. The car's reporting number is 550555. The most recent (and only as far as I know) N scale offering is car # 25610 from Micro-Trains. Its a fall 2000 release and should still be available from many dealers. If you have trouble finding it email me as I know several dealers that still have them available.
