Um, YES!!! I went by the MTV site looking for a comment address or any time of reply function through e-mail and found non. I loved the Aeon series and it has inspired me thus far to try and write some science fiction beyhond space ships fighting in space.

Today I planned to e-mail the Sci-Fi Channel and ask (demand) that they air Aeon Flux SOMEWHERE on their station. If enough of us keep bugging them Ithink we can pull it off.

hell, yeah, the show should come back. its the single great show [other then daria] that mtv ever had. the greatest peice of science fiction, and the greatest anime there is.

What good would it do, though? The general public are too braindead to look beyond the fact that it's a bizarre, sexually explicit cartoon, and thus they won't be able to get into it (not that they would recognise the genius even then, this is the general public we're talking about.) It's a sad state of affairs but Fon Flux is pretty much dead in the water.

go for it brother, but shit, everybody has the friggin tapes, i don't care if it's ever on tv again. it would be cool though if the show was slightly ahead of it's time when it first aired, and now with re- airing the general public finally comes around to appreciation ( heheh, wishful thinking out the azz, but... ). no, unless Lucas is a secret Flux-head, i'm afraid it's safe to say that Fon Flux is a brilliant inspiring piece of history. wut the fock - this sux. kult- status all the way peeps

Aeon Flux was one of the best shows on MTV, hell on tv period and hell yes i think it should be back on the air if only in syndication. i used to record it for my friend and we would both compare opinions on what the episodes were about.

I think that's a great idea. I already e-mailed a request for it to be back on MTV, and I have all the tapes. It's the only way for MTV to possibly start up the series again... after all now that P. Chung has done Alexander he's free again, I presume. Requests mean watchers, and to MTV that means money. (Money is what these guys understand, besides, I presume, more money.)

frostbite i'm pretty sure aeon flux is anime..cause it's always in the japan animation part...

I loved aeon flux, the oddity and the head those shows kicked ass..i would watch all of them every week from the very begining to the very end..but aeon was always my fav...i don't really watch mtv anymore, but if aeon were to venture back on i would definitly watch more of mtv.

anime is an american term for animation made in japan. i don't know where the animation was actually produced for Fon, but anime to most americans means a certain style of drawing and animation. i think you find it in the anime section soley because it's a cartoon and they don't know where else to put it.

Ummm, no. Anime is usually more known as a style of animation as compared to "made in japan." Since aeon flux largely shares many similarities with those prevalent in anime films/episodes, I would consider it an anime.

The only way Aeon might ever get air-time again would be if MTV were to release the rights to the series (good luck) and for another channel, say adultswim, to air it in an appropriate forum. Don't hold your breath, MTV has become as corporate as McDonalds, and has no respect for anything other than the almighty dollar.
