Take a look at Minolta's site. They list this scanner and some USA contacts so I'm assuming it's supposed to be abailable here. I've not been able to find it in any online stores though. It sounds like a competitor to the Nikon LS-2000. It even has the same ICE technology that the Nikon has.

I am wondering if the ICE routine has anything to do with the firmware, or is it just a software enhancement. I'm going to ask Minolta if ICE-like drivers will be available for other models, such as my Dimage Scan Speed. On second thought, I'll wait. I don't want to sound TOO stupid!
