video monitor color temperature settingsgreenspun.com : LUSENET : Imaging Resource Discussion : One Thread |
I have a Sony CDP 220VS monitor that can control the temperature of the color display - 5000K, 9300K or a manual setting control. Where should it be set so that what I see for pics on my display will be similar to what is printed from my Epson Color 1200? Thanks

It ain't that simple Jonathan. If you want to see what you'll get out of the printer you will need a color calibrator that reads the individual color guns on the screen. You will need to write ColorSync or ICC profiles (depending upon your platform, Mac or Windows) for your monitor, you'll need to send out a print sample and get profiles for your printer. Then the weather will change, your paper will have more water content, and the colors will shift.
