I'm looking into getting a DC which has a good close-up lens (macro). I've heard good things about the Nikon 950 and the Ricoh 5300. Anyone have experience with using these cameras from close-up shots?? I'd like to get objects about the size of a dime into the whole shot...

John, visit http://www.rsnmedia.com It has many sample close-up shots using Nikon 950. It's a VERY good camera. I'd take that over the Ricoh 5300 :-)

the 950 is still the champ for macro. I have something up my sleeve to make the sony 505 better than the 950 for macro, but I have to try it first. :)
