Southeastern Michiganders racing for the pump. Local gas stations are trying their best to keep up with the demand. Traffic is so heavy that pumps are working very slow, in my case it took 15 minutes to pump 6 gallons of gas, also the "full tank release (whatever that thing is called that stops the pump when your tank is full)" did not operate. Gasoline soaked shoes! Water also in huge demand, over a week ago The Detroit Free Press published an announcement from Detroit Water and Sewer, asking residents in southeastern michigan to fill up all tubs and sinks by 10:00pm tonight - as a precaution. They have not retracted their statement. Grocery store parking lots as just a busy as they were for Christmas. Detroit suburbs taking measures for the just incase.

Consumer Demand, Shopping store traffic and gas stations normal. People seem to have little concern about any. Biggest lines were at the video store when I when to pick up reserved Rentals for this weekend.

When doing confirming and verifying my year end backup tapes, I had an unusually large number of voltage dips recorded by my ups system on the company LAN. It is abnormal. Our area is usually very stable with less the one spike or dip per month. System is APC
