United States Surgcal Corporation, a major manufacturer of surgical suture,(among other things), experienced a y2k computer glitch. This was reported to me by their rep,who said,(I quote)," We don't know when we'll be able to get,(this suture) to you. we've experienced a y2k glitch which we're not talking about.". My guess this is just the beginning of the supply chain shortages. At this moment, this suture shortage is an annoyance. It certainly begs the question of what next? Keep up the good work,everyone- this is the only place we'll hear this stuff. Oh, by the way, location: rural Maine and we're part of a major buying consortium throughout New England. Jan
