are there any factions that give bonuses or anything for being a member? does the nameless one have any armor that he can wear? and lastly, what is the best weapon in each category (swords, axes, hammers)? thanx

I know that if you join the Godsmen, you talk to that girl that's always wandering JUST outside the big 'lecture room' that Saros (?) is in, and she'll increase one of your stats...I can't remember if it's intelligence, or charisma, or something.... Just don't lie to her! You also get to see the big weapon they're building....Does anyone know if there are quests that are opened up to you from knowing about that maching, or is that kinda the end of that whole deal? You wonder & wonder about what's behind the locked door, become a Godsman, the tell you & that's just the end of it? I think you can only buy specific weapons from the Godsmen if you ARE one (that you can't get anywhere else), but I'm not absolutely POSITIVE about that one.Since you were already a Sensate once, you don't have to commit & join them to recieve the benefits of looking into the sensory stones...although, you DO still have to pay for the public ones, even though they SAY that Sensates don't have to. (grump)
I don't know every category, but the best hammer I've seen is the Hammer of Communition sold by the fiend in the Clerk's ward, in the curiosity shop. The best fist weapon I've seen are the spiked gauntlets of ogre that you can buy from inside the Seige tower. Best teeth look to be the Teeth of Fire Drake, also in the curiosity shop.

i became a godsman, the girl increases your WIS stat. the only extra quest that opened up was that i found out that the female engineer was actually an an anarchist. she wanted me to destroy the machine. it wiuld have been fun, but for the life of me i couldn't figure out how to do it, so i just turned her in for cheap xp.

Hmmmm. Well, I might have to give that one a try... If I come up with anything, I'll make sure to post it. :)
