Are you a perfectionist?greenspun.com : LUSENET : Fierce Calm : One Thread |
Is it considered anal, or do you think perfection is something that can't be achieved? I mean, you can tweak and tweak something numerous times and still find mistakes. Are we all seeking perfection? Or should I just let my logos clash and not feel guilty about it? :)

Of course perfection is an unattainable goal. If it was possible, we'd be perfect by now. Atleast I would be, I won't speak for the rest of you. :) (Dang, I miss being sarcastic. Glad to see I've still got it in me!)

I am, by no means, a perfectionist. That is until I start cleaning. Today was supposed to be a simple day of dusting, doing dishes and laundry, etc, etc.. and has turned into a spring cleaning to end ALL spring cleanings.. completely reorganizing and REDECORATING my spare bedroom... reorganizing the outside storage closet (who cares about THAT! of all things) using the carpet machine on my rugs for the fourth time this week, shuffling through papers and putting them in order, cleaning out my drawers by reorganizing them and refolding all the clothes, scrubbing the burner pans on the stove, reorganizing my pantry and the cupboards and on and on and on.. thank god I don't have a web site to maintain :)

I am completely perfect unless women, computers, cars, other perfect people, tangible materials, any of the five senses, or myself is involved.Other than that, everything I do is complete perfection.

Perfection???You're reading words written by the most perfect female on earth...OK, now really- no one is perfect...however having a perfectionist style when addressing certain issues in life can definitely be an assett, for example: Cleaning and organization skills are complemented by perfection...how can you be too clean or too organized? (unless you are obsessive-compulsive, that is).
