I am using Netscape browser and trying to download and print some of the test pictures. I have tried to save them on my hard drive and on floppy. Once saved, I can not open the files because the .html is not in the drop down file type menu in 'open as...'. I am using Adobe Photodeluxe and have Micrografix Picture publisher, also. Could someone please help me with the details. Thanks!!!

It sounds to me like you are just clicking on File and then Save As. If you want to download an image, you want to rightclick on the image, and leftclick on Save Image As. A window will come up for where you want to save the file. Choose the directory you want, then click on Save.

Photodeluxe(and most other picture editing programs) are not capable of viewing webpages or anyting ending in html.
