I have several numbered prints/lithographs/etchings(?)of European village scenes in vibrant, rich greens, terra cotta, gold, creams and french blue, with very picturesque, quaint buildings/windmill, and most have a body of water (river/canal?). In a couple of them, women are in ankle-length clothing with shawls and wooden shoes. The artists' names usually begin with Van or Vander and the prints have gold frames with mats outlined with one or two colored ink lines, referred to as "French" mats. Different antique dealers have said they are German or French. They are relatively inexpensive ($35 to $150 dollars) and I've acquired them in Minnesota and Iowa. What type of art are they and what country do they originate from? Thanks!
