I bought a kitten last August that I thought was just your average kitten for sale in the paper. Now she is 7 months old and people have been telling me that she looks just like a Maine Coon. I really don't know anything about that kind of breed and I would like to know if I have one. Where do I start? I would like to see some pictures. Thanks!

This kind of question comes up a LOT! Basically, you can only say you have a Maine Coon cat if your cat has a pedigree to provee it is from MC lines. Many cats do look a lot like MCs and probably an MC has been around somewhere in their background!!
