remember that the psycho had wandered into the er "break room" area ans said he wanted a drink because no one had brought him one. Later in the episode during the Valentine's party someone asks where the big cake knife is.....well I believe that the psycho took the knife when he was wandering around wanting a drink-----

I totally agree. I think we can assume from the amount of blood in the mini preview (someone posted the link below), that it had to be something pretty big ... and there were all the comments about the cake knife.

When the psycho was in the break room, he was holding the edge of the sleeve of his robe, as if to keep something inside his sleeve. (Haven't we all done this at one point or another? :) )

I'm assuming that's where he put the knife.

Yes, indeed, it was the cake knife... and an incredibly big knife, too, for such a tiny blue cake. What were they thinking?!
