Did anyone notice the single tear that escaped from Lucy's eye during her last exchange with Corday? I thought it was the most compelling moment of the show and "spoke" volumes.

That tear was beautiful, perfect, and honest. Brilliantly acted. But is it just me or was Dr. Corday's response just a little bit off? I think it rang true for her to touch Lucy in a tender, reassuring way... but did anyone else notice how roughly she tousled Lucy's hair? I thought it was discordant. A wiping away of the tear, a stroke on her cheek, a smoothing of her hair would have been appropriate... but sometimes, ER just makes mistakes, has inconsistencies. For example, did anyone else notice that when Carter was in the ER he had a large, bruised welt on his forehead from when he had tried to get up but had fallen back down? The bruise had magically disappeared when he was in recovery after surgery... oh well... it's nice to be reminded, by these little flaws in the production, that it is art, not life.

That tear just about killed me. The awareness she had of her own impending death was just horrible. I couldn't stop thinking about it. Her medical training made it just impossible for her not to know. Just horrible......
