I am having problems when creating PDF files from documents containing digital images. The images concerned are mainly screen shots of software menus. When converted to PDF the quality deteriorates to such an extent that they are unreadable. I have tried using bitmap, TIFF and JPEG formats with no success. I have also tried with documents created in both Word and Pagemaker. I have seen PDF files with acceptable graphics so it must be possible. What's the secret?

Answers

Go into the Distiller settings and look for the one about graphics. I set mine to 600 dpi and there is no difference side by side with the original MSPub document. They will be pixelized if you use the default 300 dpi.
